lightning

this week is turning out rather well in terms of weather.
fog yesterday and an amazing lightning storm today (whilst at work).
the storm lasted about an hour (which is quite good for england) and produced some awesome lightning.
the storm was right over us so the thunder was frighteningly loud :)
only managed to get one picture (out of 35 shots). i couldn't get in a great position, so excuse the fencing.

it felt that way too! but it was probably about a mile away - difficult to tell.

Beautiful! I love the angle and think the fence really adds to the deminsion of the shot (if that makes sense). Fantastic color.

I really like this photo. Thanks for sharing it.

yeah, I definitely like the fence at the bottom, it gives it a better perspective.

What a great shot! I love the spark at the top of the lightning, as it is exiting the clouds. Beautiful.

i stood outside, pointed the camera in one direction and kept clicking.
the lightning seemed to strike in every other direction but i persevered and got lucky!
